Pickup Time at 08:00 AM

You will be met and greeted by a representative of Classic Lanka Travels, at Colombo Hotel and you will be driven to Bentota.

Bentota is a resort town on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast. Its long Bentota Beach stretches north, where it becomes a sandy strip known as Paradise Island, parallel to Bentota Lagoon.

Here you will visit Mask making shops. Mask making is a popular tradition in Sri Lanka. Many Sri Lankan mask artisans ply their trade along the Western, Southwestern and Southern coasts of the island. Of these, the Ambalangoda area on the Southwestern coast of Sri Lanka is renowned for its talented artisans.

After that you’ll visit Turtle Hatchery. The Turtle Care Centre at Kosgoda beach is one of 18 turtle hatcheries along the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The center is located in the Southwestern coastal village of Kosgoda and was established in 1981. It is also very popular as all five species of turtles that visit Sri Lanka nest in Kosgoda. This is not so with many of the other hatcheries around the island whose beaches host only some of the species.

Then you can join a Madu river boat safari. A mangrove lagoon joined to the sea by a narrow canal and containing 15 islands of varying size, some of which are inhabited. It is formed of two shallow waterbodies, Maduganga and smaller Randombe Lake, connected by two narrow channels. On the islands and shores relatively undisturbed mangrove vegetation contains a rich biodiversity qualifying the wetland for 7 Criteria of International Importance. Many globally/nationally endangered, endemic and rare.

Visit Diyakawa Water Sports center for water sports (Available: Surfing, Waterskiing, Wakeboarding, body boarding, banana ride, tube ride, jet-ski, Snorkeling, diving).

Once complete the tour proceed to Ahungalla for an overnight stay.

Galle was known as Gimhathiththa before the arrival of the Portuguese in the 16th century, when it was the main port on the island. Galle reached the height of its development in the 18th century, during the Dutch colonial period. Galle is the best example of a fortified city built by the Portuguese in South and Southeast Asia, showing the interaction between Portuguese architectural styles and native traditions. The city was extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. The Galle fort is a world heritage site and is the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers.
