Kandy City Tour

After breakfast pick from the hotel at 08:00hrs to proceed to Kandy.

En-route visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. 

Visit the Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya. It attracts 2 million visitors annually. It is near the Mahaweli River (the longest in Sri Lanka). It is renowned for its collection of orchids.

11:00hrs Do a city tour of Kandy (Kandy Temple of Tooth, Lake View Point, Kandy Market & Shopping) 

Next proceed to Temple of Tooth relic in Kandy. The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a world heritage Site mainly due to the temple. Visit the museum inside the Sacred Temple of Tooth Relic.

12:30hrs Lunch at local restaurant in Kandy.

13:30hrs Continue the tour.

15:00hrs Departure to Colombo.
